  • Christian Loubek may be the most experienced, first-time director in history. He has directed in 18 different countries and worked in 9 different languages. He’s honed his craft on mountaintops at 12,000’ above sea level and with scuba tanks at 400kpa underwater. He was once diagnosed with Dengue Fever thanks to his work in film.

BELIEF is his first film. It marks the first-time he has ever written and directed a story of his own telling. He found inspiration for the material in the strength and sacrifice of his wife and actress, Erika Hamilton, after she birthed their children. The two agreed to hold onto the 11pp script until both children were of age to play the central roles alongside her. The story took on greater personal depth as time passed. The irony is not lost on him that it took so long to make his first film. For that, Christian credits his own personal struggle with BELIEF.
